UW Women's Self Defense Workshop

WiSTEM (Women in STEM) collaborating with WiM (Women in Math) is offering free self-defence classes for women and trans-people in STEM.

The course consists of a 2 hour class focusing on escape tactics, including physical and verbal techniques catered to women’s strengths. Participants will also engage in a healthy discussion about views and laws of sexual harassment. The course is taught by certified instructors who are part of the UWaterloo Karate and Jujutsu Club. Come out to learn some self-defence, gain confidence, and network with other women in STEM fields!

Tickets are limited and sell fast, so if you change your mind and no longer able to attend this event, please be courteous and cancel your ticket so the other can have the opportunity to join us.
